I would likely be doing the same exact thing, but with maybe more fancy equipment.

Phil Nichols attempts to do this every day.

Trustworthy, friendly and hope to be an overall great human being.
COMMUNICATION
What does good communication mean to you?
Being able to speak openly whether you agree or disagree, but be able to talk open about topics or scenarios and walk away with a mutual respect.
Who is a great communicator in your life and why?
We have some great leaders in our community. I have appreciated the communication that Guthrie Superintendent Dr. Mike Simpson has had with the community, which has allowed several great things to happen with our schools and more importantly a direction for the future.
LEARNING
What is your favorite way to learn?
Visual. I have always taken pride in watching people that I respect and admire, and watch the steps they taken to succeed and hope to duplicate their success.
Tell us something you have learned lately?
There are really more cables that I would have ever guessed that are behind the work station of GTV20.
PEOPLE
Your favorite person in the world and why?
This has to be my wife, right? She’s really awesome. She understands the likes and goals of our two boys and myself, but she’s a rock star when it comes to her profession and keeping us boys on the right path.
Who is someone that adds value to your life and how?
I hope he does not see this, but Phil Nichols is a friend that anyone would love to have. Yes, you have to stay on your toes with him, but Phil will do anything for me, or my family without any questions being asked. He’s what I call a true friend.
PLANNING
How do you go about planning your day?
Very carefully. There are so many events, meetings and activities that I have to handle day-to-day, but it’s important to schedule personal time as well.
Are you a goal setter?
I am becoming better at setting goals and it has been rewarding in accomplishing them.
What's a big goal you have at the moment that you can share?
I am currently on bringing more video and live video to help showcase our school’s athletics and all the exciting happenings in Guthrie and Logan County.
STORYTELLING
Which of your friends tell the best stories about you?
Seth Robbins can tell the best stories. His memory is amazing on stuff that happen 20 years ago. His Jon Chappell stories are the best.
Do you have a favorite story to tell about one of your friends?
I’m laughing as I type this, but Phil Nichols attempted to call somebody when he asks me for their phone number. I told him it was 867-5309. He did not catch on. Did you catch it?
What's the one question you ask someone you want to get to know better?
Tell me about your family or profession. People are the most comfortable when talking about those two topics.

If you had a million dollars, how would you use it?
I would have a really cool studio, but more importantly would invest it in creating life-long memories with my family.

Take time out and spend some time with someone and ask them how their day is.
