Having problems with people showing up to work?

I show up for my family everyday because I understand the mission.

It’s easier for me to show up for a job when there is a mission at hand. When there is something that needs to be accomplished that I can get behind.

If you’re having problems with people showing up, I believe 1 of 2 things could be the problem.

  1. There is no clear mission at hand.

  2. There is a mission but the people not showing up aren’t about that mission.

Showing up is often not about money but the mission. I know people who are getting paid but no longer want to show or stopped showing up. They no longer are in on the mission. Or they never really knew the mission and initially the money got them there everyday.

I would say mission over money but the money adds value.

Make the work about the mission and see if they show up.
