Meet Derrick, Derrick is the host of the We Tell Stories Podcast. Derrick became an audience favorite once he started being the emcee for We Tell Stories Poetry Night.
Over the last 20+ years, Derrick’s passion for social and group dynamics has reached every area of his life, but shines brightest when it comes to mentorship. Using his B.S. in Kinesiology (Recreation Management), M.A. in Theological Studies, community and culture experience in the education and corporate settings, Derrick has helped organizations recruit and equip mentors, implement and establish mentorship programs, and create safe spaces for mentors and their mentees to connect.
In addition to having a heart for mentorship, he is a husband, father, author, golfer, gardener, avid hugger and is driven by his faith to live a life full of laughter and love.
