Kelly is a passionate educator that transcends traditional methods in instruction to build a workforce that is reflective, engaged, and innovative. She has spent the past 35 years in the field of early care and education as a classroom teacher, childcare center director, training coordinator, education manager and college professor.

Kelly is the owner of Developing People, Inc. As a strategist, she assists education programs and non-profit agencies in identifying best practices models to ensure successful program implementation, which is culturally responsive. Her experience in the non-profit sector includes strategic planning, board development, virtual and on-site mentor/coaching training, and workshop facilitation. Kelly is a published author of Stories of Resistance and co-author of Families and Educators Together: Building Great Relationships that Support Young Children.

Her work re-centers the focus on families and creating a collaborative partnership between home and school to support children at all stages of development.
