Ever been ready to quit but others needed you?

I couldn’t even get up the road. It wasn’t a big hill but there was an incline.

My son and I are trying to get out and run every evening. He is a soccer player and needs to stay in shape.

I’m just trying to live longer and look better in my clothes.

There was that moment this evening where my son wanted to quit and I needed to quit.

But, I couldn’t.

With him just a head of me, I had to push through and talk him to the top of the road. I was barely holding on but I kept saying to him - TONIGHT ISN’T ABOUT WINNING BUT FINISHING.

I reminded him that he had goals and to accomplish goals you had to put in work.

I kept saying a goal without putting in work is only a dream. And we don’t just dream.

We put in work.

At the end of our run, we had run our furthest ever together.

Don’t quit. You could be the reason someone goes farther than they ever imagined in life.
