Where were you born specifically?
I was born Friday, June 22, 1973 at 3:45 am to Melvin and Geri Cyphers in Guthrie, OK at the Logan County Memorial Hospital "The Old Hospital" that is now being renovated into a Senior Living Center.
My husband and I actually built a house on the land where my parents lived when they brought me home from the hospital 45 years ago.
What's your favorite Guthrie-related memory?
Growing up I would have to say 89ers days watching the parade, going to the rodeo and carnival.
What's the best part about living in Guthrie?
Knowing everyone!!!!!
I have always told my boys I will know about it......before you have a chance to tell me about it.
What does Guthrie have that other towns don't?
Oh Goodness! Guthrie has so much more than other towns.
The Masonic Temple - just gorgeous.
The Beacon Drive In - not many left around.
The people.......you can walk down any street or walk into any store and everyone is saying hi to each other.
Are you a GHS alumni?
Absolutely, Class of 1992!!!!
If you lived here at some point and moved back why?
I have not left. :)

What do you love most about your job?
Oh my gosh, there are so many things I love about my job. The people I work for Terry and Lonnie Bobo are absolutely amazing people! The people I work with are like having a bunch of brothers and sisters. There are days we hug each other and there are days we drive each other crazy. Everyday is rewarding and fulfilling in it's own way. I absolutely love my journey at Environmental Management.
Where was your first job in Guthrie? Did you get fired? My first job was during high school at Homeland in the video department checking movies in and out. I have only had 5 jobs and never been fired!
Do you have family here? If so explain... Yes, I have lots of family here starting with my husband Jeff, our wonderful boys Dylan and Clayton and my amazing daughter in law Brooke. My parents Melvin and Geri Cyphers and Jeff's parents Randy & Joann Flury. I also have my uncle and aunt Steve and Robyn Smith and many many more - just not enough room to list everyone.

Why do you wear GuthrieAmerica tee?
I am proud of Guthrie Oklahoma. It is also very comfy and goes with everything - especially when you own 3..
What are your favorite things to do in Guthrie?
The Bluegrass Festival - for the last 6 years we have taken our 5th wheel to the campground (yes I am aware that is only about 12 blocks from our house) plus we have friends and family that take theirs as well. We enjoy hanging out with our friends around the camp fire, listening to music, cook food over the open fire, catching up with our bluegrass friends from Kansas and Missouri and of course watching our close friend Greg play the fiddle.
How would you define what it means when you hear or say COMMUNITY WINS?
Coming together for the big picture. Helping put Guthrie on the map and draw people to our wonderful town. It takes us all for OUR community to win and do big things.
Lastly, we love SHOUT OUTS! Who do you want to give a shout out to?
YES!!!!!! My parents Melvin and Geri Cyphers for teaching me life lessons at a young age and molding me into the person I am today. My husband who puts up with all my crazy ideas. My boys Dylan and Clayton because I’m very proud of the men you have become. My Wonderful daughter in law Brooke because I am so very proud of everything you have accomplished.
"Just One More" - My two closest life long friends Tina Richardson & Lori Jenkins. You girls keep me laughing and young.
Wait, one more. What does it mean to CHOOSE GUTHRIE?
To support our wonderful town not only by shopping and buying locally but supporting our schools, volunteering for all the wonderful non profits and supporting each other within our wonderful community.
