What are your names?

Rob and Hope Hutchison

Where were you born?

Hope - I was born in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Rob - I was born in Noble, Oklahoma.

When did you move to Guthrie?

Hope- I moved to Guthrie August of 1993... When my parents brought me home from the hospital!

Rob - January 7, 2017, the day after we were married.

Why did you move to Guthrie?

Hope - I'm proud to say that Guthrie has always been my home.

Rob - I moved here to live with Hope.

What’s your favorite Guthrie related memory?

Hope - Definitely when Rob proposed to me on my doorstep. He popped the question in the exact same spot my dad asked my mom to marry him over 40 years ago (without even knowing!)

Rob - The first day I met Hope which was at a one of the Make Guthrie Weird block parties in 2014.

What’s the best part of living in Guthrie?

Hope - For me, the best part of living in Guthrie is Missy's donuts (duh!) and the small town love. Events like Red Brick Nights and 89ers are so unique and bring a huge sense of togetherness.

Rob - I love the local events. It's so nice to see people come out to support the town and artists at events like Red Brick Nights.

What does Guthrie have that other towns don’t?

Hope- The ROCK!

Rob- Missy's donuts and soup.

Are you a GHS Alumni?

Hope- Yes, I am a Guthrie Alumni. Class of 2012!

Rob - No, Edmond North here. Class 2008.

If you lived here at some point and moved back why?

Hope- I've never moved away and have no intentions of doing so anytime soon.

Rob - I just moved here this year and never plan on leaving.

Where do you currently work and how long?

Hope - For the time being I'm a stay-at-home dog mom (ha!) due to some health complications.

Rob - I work for Dell doing tech support. I've worked there for two years.

If you grew up in Guthrie and had your first job here… Where?

Hope- my first job was at Mary's Flower Shop. It was so lovely getting to brighten people's days with beautiful bouquets!

Do you have family here?

Hope - yes! My parents, brother, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, and Grandma Sue all live here.

Rob - Like Hope said, my in-laws are here. My parents and sister live in Edmond and my brother lives in Lawton.

How did you first hear or learn about the Guthrie America brand?

Hope - from Heady!

Rob - from Hope.

What do you think about the GA brand?

LOVE! Definitely our favorite shirts!

Why do you wear GuthrieAmerica tee?

We adore Guthrie and are so proud to call it our home. This tee is such a neat way to represent Guthrie.

What are you favorite things to do in Guthrie?

We love taking our basset hounds Barney and Bella on walks downtown, Rick's Coffee, the 89ers Celebration, and we definitely love those Bluejay football games!

Lastly, we love Shout Outs! Who do you want to give a shout out to?

Shout out to Chuck and Lynnette Hayes (Hope's parents). They met at a Guthrie High School homecoming dance in the 70's and will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary in October. We're a little biased, but they're some of the best people around!
